Hi, this is Dennis Owens. I am an American living in Germany since January of 1994. I came to Germany with the USAF as a crew member (an Airborne Computer Technician) on the NATO AWACS aircraft. I retired from the USAF in 2000. Since then, I have been employed as a civilian with NATO AWACS as a Radar Technical Analyst, Systems Test Officer and now as again as a Ground Computer Technician.  That means that if the AWACS computer has a problem in the air, when the aircraft lands, I along with a super team of other Technicians, will go out to the jet on the ramp and fix it, and then declare that the aircraft is fit and ready to fly again, speaking naturally from my system of course.

My real passion is photography. Since 2001, I have built my business, Dennis Owens Event & Studio Photography. In this website, you can see my progress and follow my assignments as I go from Event to Event. Naturally, the private work is either password protected on my site or not even available for public viewing.

Primarily, I am a Nikon Man. I shoot with the latest technology in Professional Nikon DSLR, the Nikon D3S as well as two Nikon D3 professional cameras. I still use my Nikon D2Xs and my first Pro Body Nikon DSLR, the Nikon D2X, which is still in use today.

For my main Sport lens is the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED.

For the full frame Nikon D3 Series Cameras, I love the the AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED along with the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED.  For some of my Portrait work, I love the AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D IF

What has kept me busy the most for the past couple of years though, is my Event Photo Truck. In the next few weeks, I will post photos and a description of my photo truck. Please note that each time you go to a new area in my site, or hit F5 to refresh your view of the current page, a new random shot of my Photo Truck will appear at the top right of the screen.  It is, I believe the first in Europe that can offer the Event Photography Experience that I offer.  I offer up to 12 different self service viewing stations for customers at my truck with direct printing from 4x6 inches (10x15cm) to up to prints 44" wide Matt, Glossy or even Canvas prints.  I shoot with the latest technology from Nikon from up to 300 meters away from my truck and the photos are already in my truck some three seconds later via Nikon WIFI transmitters. Customers normally receive the ordered photo printed within ten minutes of their order.  We run five different photo printers in my truck, each print size has it's own printer.   More later in words and photos.
